Aims of the Internet Cafe Project:
The Internet Café will not only assist in funding House of Progress and training our young adults, it will become a vital communication tool for local villagers.

1. To form a communication hub for local residents and tourists
2. To encourage the people within the local area to learn new technology tools and advancements
3. To establish a training program at the café during quiet times for young people to expand their skills and open up wider opportunities within the work force

Although by no means exhaustive this venture will progressively provide opportunities for training in the following fields:

1. Hospitality
2. IT
3. Small business management
4. Cooking and meal preparation
5. Financial Management

Background

The Internet Café is located on the ground floor of the House of Progress along the main thoroughfare of Kompong Speu town which is approximately 1 hours drive from Phnom Penh.

We are convinced with the right input and training it will grow to become a business that not only makes the House of Progress financially self-sustaining but also supports the local economy.

It will provide employment opportunities for House of Progress young adults and as the business grows, further opportunity for the local residents to find employment.

A small restaurant selling snacks and drinks will be developed in time to work alongside the internet café.
