Eco Farm Story

Cambodia is an Agricultural society and one of our more innovative advances in the development of Sunshine House was the establishment of the Eco-farm. It is enabling us to develop useful skills in the children, produce food and create longer term self sufficiency.

While still in the development stages, our children have been able to train in different facets of day to day farm operations and more importantly to develop an awareness of any particular areas that might interest them which can then be further encouraged and pursued.

Included in the Eco-Farm project are livestock such as pigs, rabbits, hens and ducks which are now located in custom built buildings at Sunshine House.

All facets of the farm are aimed at being environmentally friendly and use initiatives such as solar power, methane gas collection for cooking and sustainable water use.
